Senior Associate / SolicitorBeing from the West (West Wales to be precise) my career had no option but to go East. It did and, fortunately, so did I.
I started work in Cardiff at a large national firm before moving to Bristol, where I qualified as a solicitor. I soon sought new challenges and relocated to London to experience the fast-paced, cut-throat property market of the City. This provided a fantastic opportunity to hone my legal skills dealing with a wide variety of residential and commercial property transactions.
As my family grew what little time I could spend with them became more and more precious and I began to long for a greater work/life balance. So we upped sticks to the Channel Islands where we lived and worked for nearly 5 years. Island life was a welcome change and the experience I have gained from both onshore and offshore property transactions has been invaluable.
Now back on the largest of the British Isles I am looking forward to getting to more rugby matches and spending time with friends and family. My hobbies revolve around my Wife and 4 children. By sheer coincidence I seemed to have developed interests in horse riding, ballet, gymnastics, swimming, cricket, any game on the Wii (or any other games console for that matter) and playing the violin and/or piano. What is more surprising is that I find myself developing new interests almost daily! Thankfully, one of my greatest passions, rugby, has come to the fore as my son now plays for Cirencester RFC. Not one to be left out, I do what I can by helping out with coaching.
