Associate SolicitorI grew up in Cambridgeshire and moved to Wiltshire to start my training contract with Wood & Awdry in Chippenham where I qualified in 2001. Having decided to settle in this part of the world, I remained with Wood & Awdry on qualification and through their merger with regional firm Thrings. During that time I dealt with a broad range of civil litigation and employment matters. In 2009 I joined national firm Lyons Davidson in Bristol where I specialised in property disputes and honed my litigation skills. I joined Tanners in September 2016 and am delighted to be able to use the skills I have gained to assist their clients with the wide variety of disputes they may unfortunately find themselves involved in.
During my career I have gained experience of claims in the County and High Courts as well as the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights. I believe in providing clients with practical advice to assist them in resolving their dispute in the best and most cost-effective way possible for them. This can include mediation and other forms of ADR as well as considering the broad spectrum of funding options which are available for litigation claims.
When not at work I spend my time chasing around after my two teenage sons. Through their sporting activities I have become involved with Chippenham Rugby Club and administer the surprising amount of paperwork which a mini rugby team requires. At home I am often found with a paintbrush or gardening tool in hand as we renovate our family home or with trainers on feet as I head out for a run.
