PartnerOriginally from Dorset I settled in Wiltshire following qualification with a large Thames Valley firm. I was a partner in the Chippenham Practice of Wood & Awdry and thereafter the regional firm of Thrings before joining Tanners in 2015.
As a dispute resolution specialist I have a very broad experience. I have considerable expertise in serious Personal Injury claims both acting for Claimants and for Defendants and I am recognised by Chambers & Partners as a leading practitioner in this field. I also act as a Professional Deputy and in the Court of Protection.
In addition I handle Agricultural disputes, Contract claims, Consumer and Product Liability issues, Building disputes, Inheritance claims, Landlord and Tenant matters, Trust disputes and all aspects of Professional Negligence work. I am also an accredited mediator.
I try to adopt a pragmatic approach to solving problems, aiming to achieve the most cost effective outcome with the least risk as quickly as possible. This may involve anything from applying ADR procedures through to involving specialist litigation funders depending on the nature and value of the claim concerned. I am always happy to provide a preliminary or initial view, or a second opinion if required.
