PartnerI started my career as a property lawyer in a large city law firm in London. However it wasn’t long before I moved out to Gloucestershire, where I was born, bred and educated, to work for a firm of solicitors in Cheltenham. There, I specialised in high value country houses and estates and spent almost a decade dealing with some splendid properties, mainly in the Cotswolds.
Then, having become a Francophile after spending my gap year working as a tea boy in a smart Paris estate agency, I decided to embark on an adventure and moved with my family to the Loire valley in France. I set up my own estate agency and had lots of fun doing that for a good few years. Eventually, though, I made the decision that England was my real home and back I came to work as an estate agent for Savills in Cheltenham and Cirencester dealing, again, with prime Cotswold country houses. I enjoyed being an estate agent but the offer of partnership with Tanners was one too good to turn down and I am now bringing all my previous property experience to offer a discreet and very personal legal service to anybody buying a property in the UK or in France.
When not at the office, I am usually to be found with my nose in book (probably by Dick Francis or Wilbur Smith), in a Cotswold country pub or on a flight to or from the Loire valley where I still have family and many friends.
